But we can’t say that diets, which led to weight loss, and healthy lifestyle are all the same things. The diet is a complex of tough rules you, to follow which you have to change the way you eat.

Eat Only Healthy Products

The closer a product to its natural state, the more benefit it will bring to you. Fresh fruits and berries are very wholesome and moreover they can satisfy your need for sweets. Vegetables are the best source of vitamins and minerals that improve the ability of our organism to assimilate nutrients. The best way to preserve all the nutrients in the food is steaming.

Make sure that all pasta and bakery are made of durum wheat semolina. Avoid sweets and baked pies. Do you like them? Eat an apple pie – it will actually be good for you.

Buy lean meat and do not forget the fish. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for our organism as they lower cholesterol level. We can find them in the ocean fish, so eat seafood two or three times a week – it will help you to protect your nervous system from stressful situations and ease depressions. Remember that fried fish and chicken are healthier foods than fried beef.

Diversify your diet to get all necessary vitamins and minerals. Drink water, milk and 100% fruit and vegetable juices. Limit consumption of sugary soft drinks. If you think that water is tasteless, add the slice of lemon or lime to give it some flavor. Water helps to lose weight, if you do everything wisely. Buy healthy snacks such as dried fruit, grains bars, nuts and vegetables, which are full of vitamins and minerals, fresh fruit. When you just need to “receive medical treatment” of emotions by junk food, buy a small high-quality chocolate bar and eat it, but do not buy sweets for several days.

The same rules will be helpful for those who eat in front of TV. If you can’t help eating while watching your favorite program, eat low-calorie products, because when you are really interested in something, you can eat huge amount of food. Remember that the carrots, celery and cucumbers are alternatives to chips or other similar snacks.

Do Not Skip Meals

If you skip breakfast, you’ll want to eat something in an hour or two. So it’s better to divide your breakfast into several parts than give it up, for example: egg, oatmeal, fruits. Eat small meals. When you are hungry, you can eat a small amount of raisins or almonds. Dosed breakfast is more acceptable solution than coffee breaks with sweets and biscuits.

Control Your Portion

Our stomachs are not too big. On average, unstretched stomach contains about two cups of food, and it’s better not to stretch it as you will need much more food to fill it. But it can be dangerous as you will consume unnecessary calories.

When you eat at home, serve meals a la carte, in separate dishes. Doing it you reduce possibility of eating a large portion by chance. In restaurants, ask for a container for food and take half of your portion at home. Avoid the buffet, if you are not very disciplined. The Buffet is too tempting, you can accidentally eat 3 or even 4 servings plus dessert.

Defeat Your Sugar-Addiction

Try to overcome your sweet hunger and avoid sweet snacks. The may contain a lot of calories and harmful fats. Eat fruits and berries instead of sweets. If they aren’t sweet enough for you, add a little bit sugar. Don’t drink soft beverages; you’d better try cold herbal tea with a slice of lemon or lime – very pleasant taste.

Products You Can’t Give Up

Without any doubt there are products you can’t live without, so enjoy them in small portions. You can afford any meal that isn’t healthy once a month. But the best you can do is to find an equivalent to it among healthy products and recipes.
